On Saturday 11 June 2022, the Hungarian dancing duet Dorottya Podmaniczky and David Mikó performed at the Maq‘ad of Sultan Qaitbey at an event organized in cooperation with the Liszt Institute: Hungarian Cultural Centre in Cairo. The performance was titled “Panta rhei” – everything flows, and explored various aspects of the interplay of opposites that cannot exist without each other: Adam and Eve, yin and yang, light and darkness, two sides of the coin. Even though the temperature soared on the hottest day of this year’s Egyptian summer so far, the hall of the maq‘ad filled with numerous audience.
