At the MASQ cultural hub that operates in the maq‘ad  of Sultan Qaitbey, two Polish volunteers are giving cooking classes introducing Central European food. At the last session on 7 June 2022, women of the ‘Desert of the Mamluks’ reciprocated by demonstrating their skills in preparing similar Egyptian dishes. The Japanese product designer who is helping the MISHKĀ social enterprise as a JICA volunteer joined the session, so we are hoping for some sushi-making classes soon!
The sessions are part of a broader programme on the subject on non-violent human interactions.
