Following the success of the “Summer Camp” programme in August 2021, and the following “Winter Camp”, the 2022 Summer Camp for the children of the Qaitbey neighbourhood in Cairo’s “City of the Dead” has begun, organised by ARCHiNOS and our sister organisation the Sultan Foundation. Various Egyptian organisations and individuals who replied to an open call carry out fourteen different programmes and workshops for children in a six weeks-long Summer Camp. Although no actual camping is involved, we call it so, because it offers the children a variety of enriching experiences different from those at home or school, and varying from sport to storytelling to science to art and music.
